VACM

Each of the moorings had an OEI 9407 VACM attached to the mooring line at approximately 70 m depth.  These Vector Averaging Current Meters (VACMs) were manufactured and calibrated by Oregon Environmental Instruments, Inc. (OEI).  These VACMs were configured to measure the water direction, speed, temperature, and pressure every 15 minutes.

MicroCAT

Six of the 12 moorings also had SBE 37-SM MicroCAT instruments attached to the mooring line at approximately 72 m depth (moorings 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, and 12).   These instruments are manufactured and calibrated by Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc. (SBE).  Measurements made include conductivity, temperature, and salinity every 3 minutes.
