Because of flooding and the loss of one instrument, data are only available from 9 of the 12 moorings deployed in the Southern Ocean.  The temporal variations in downwelling irradiance at each of the 9 moorings show similar features at all wavelengths, namely a minimum in irradiance  near day 340 and a peak near day 410.  As an example, the temporal variation of irradiances for the seven wavebands measured at mooring 2 are shown in the figure below.  Corresponding figures for the other moorings show similar temporal variations, however the magnitude of the irradiances differ.

Note that some of the variability observed is caused by depth fluctuations of the sensor - no depth corrections have been made to these data.  Similarly, the variation in magnitude between moorings of the measured irradiances may be due to differences in the nominal sensor depths at each mooring, which are currently unknown.  Depth data will be added to this site as soon as they are available.
