The white curve indicates the mean location of the Antarctic Polar Front (Moore, J. K., M. R. Abbott, and J. G. Richman, "Location and dynamics of the Antarctic Polar Front from satellite sea surface temperature data", J. Geophys. Res., v104, 3059-3073 (1999)).

The resolutions of the longitude and latitude grid lines are 10^o and 5^o respectively.  The vertical longitude line is 180^o .  The images cover roughly 160 ^oE to 130 ^oW and 45 ^oS to 80 ^oS.
