introduction

A tethered spectral radiometer buoy (TSRB-II, Satlantic, Inc.) was deployed off the
coast of Oregon during a cruise in September 1998. This instrument measures
downwelling irradiance just above the sea surface at seven visible wavebands,
upwelling radiance just below the sea surface at the same wavebands, and sea
surface temperature.

This set of documents describes the instrument, deployment procedure and locations,
and the resulting data. Access to the data is also provided.

This study was undertaken by the Oregon State University (OSU) Remote Sensing
Ocean Optics group as part of an ongoing research effort off the coast of Oregon.
