The ac-9 and CTD instruments are deployed during the Hawaii Ocean Time-Series (HOT) Program cruises. These cruises are made approximately once a month off the coast of Hawaii. The ac-9 and CTD measurements are made at Stn. ALOHA, which covers a 6 nautical mile radius centered at (22°45.0' N, 158°00.0' W). This station is located in the open ocean (4800 m depth). A typical cruise visits this station for a 2-day period, with a total of 3 day casts and one night cast. A map of the area and stations visited can be viewed at the HOT map page.
