HAWAIIAN MOORING DATA NOTES (97a) PIs: Mark Abbott and Ricardo Letelier (OSU) processed by: Jasmine S. Bartlett August 28 1997 Mooring : HALE ALOHA - 1 Location : near Stn. Aloha, Hawaii (22o 30' N, 158o W) Period : Jan 13 1997 - May 15 1997 Instrument : OCI-200 irradiance meter (Satlantic, Inc.) Measurements : downwelling irradiance at seven wavebands Depth of instrument : 25 m Data file : aloha97a.dat Calibration file : hale.cal Data Structure column 1 : decimal day (Pacific Standard Time, no daylight savings corrections required) column 2 : Ed412 (uW cm-2 nm-1) column 3 : Ed443 (uW cm-2 nm-1) column 4 : Ed490 (uW cm-2 nm-1) column 5 : Ed510 (uW cm-2 nm-1) column 6 : Ed555 (uW cm-2 nm-1) column 7 : Ed670 (uW cm-2 nm-1) column 8 : Ed683 (uW cm-2 nm-1) Calibration File structure column 1 : center wavelength (nm) column 2 : calibration factor (uW cm-2 nm-1/count) Quality Control saturated irradiance values were removed from the data set data from approximately 1720 PST on May 13 1997 (day 133) until the end of the data set (May 15 1997) appeared unreliable and were removed from the data set. Data from before day 60 in the Ed670 and Ed683 data sets appeared unreliable and were removed (the data indicated zero irradiance at these wavelengths in this period).
