The
instrument used was a Tethered Spectral Radiometer Buoy (TSRB-II) (S/N 077) from Satlantic, Inc. This instrument
measures:
- downwelling irradiance just above the sea
surface at seven visible wavebands
(412, 443, 489, 555, 670, 684 and 700 nm)
- upwelling radiance just below the sea surface
at the same wavebands, and
The wavebands have bandpasses of
approximately 10 nm. Measurements are made at a frequency of 6 Hz. This
instrument is calibrated by Satlantic, Inc.
